Commitment to our environment

Sustainability

"We improve the ecosystem by respecting the context and landscape of our area and we look for natural solutions to better integrate with the surrounding ecology."
- Serena Golf
Golf is a sport that closely involves nature with landscapes, ecosystems and biodiversity.
In the Region there are more than 17 golf courses that add up to an area of approximately 1,173 hectares and where Serena Golf Course plays a fundamental role acting as an adjacent wetland zone and carrying out appropriate actions for the protected, rare and priority species that inhabit it.

Biodiversity
In this area we are recognized in sixth place on the list of the most visited wetlands in the Region of Murcia with 20 cataloged species and more than 620 counted specimens.
Solar energy
Our clubhouse is supplied with much of the electricity provided by the 122 solar panels, thereby avoiding the emission of more than 3 tons of CO2 that would go into the atmosphere.
Bermuda UltraDwarf grass
This type of grass is perfect for the environment, as it requires less pesticides, needs 30% less water to grow and is perfect for soils with high salinity.
Electric car charger
If we want sustainability we must work for it, more and more users are coming with electric cars and we do everything in our power to make them feel comfortable being able to charge them in the same parking lot of the club.
Water irrigation
The water with which we irrigate our field is entirely recycled. The use of this purified water completely avoids the impact of the field on local water reserves.
